1. Spread of Serious Illnesses

Flies constantly land on unsanitary materials, including rotting garbage, animal waste, and decaying carcasses. Germs cling to their hairy legs and bodies. When they move from filth into living spaces, they transfer these pathogens to humans, easily spreading serious diseases such as food poisoning, cholera, dysentery, and typhoid.

 

2. Disgusting Feeding Habits

Because flies cannot chew solid food, they must liquefy it first. They do this by vomiting stomach enzymes directly onto a meal, letting the food dissolve, and then sucking it back up. During this feeding process, they routinely leave behind saliva, fecal matter, and dangerous microbes on food and kitchen counters.

3. Explosive Population Growth

A small fly problem can escalate into a massive infestation in just a few days. A single female fly is capable of laying hundreds of eggs during her brief lifespan. These eggs hatch and mature into fully breeding adults in roughly a week, creating an endless cycle of new pests.

4. Painful Bites and Constant Irritation

Certain species, like horseflies and stable flies, require blood to survive and inflict painful bites on humans and pets. Even the non-biting varieties cause significant annoyance. Their continuous buzzing, swarming around faces, and the ugly dark spots they leave on walls and ceilings make them a major nuisance.
